I know you're not supposed to wash your hair every day, but I do anyway because I use hairspray every day and I think if I don't shampoo it, then the product won't come out of my hair. Is this true? I need hair spray to style my bangs and I'll use it if I style my hair with a pony tail to tame the frizz. The shampoo is causing major damage, but I just can't stop. Is there any products anyone recommends to get some moisture back in it? Reasonably priced please. Can you avoid shampoo if you use hair products every day?
Good thinking. Your hair/scalp can't stay very healthy if it can't breathe. Washing everyday can remove the necessary oils from your hair making it dry, brittle and dull. I agree w/ you about removing the sytling product. Try rinsing your hair at night over the tub under the faucet with clear water for a few minutes to get the majoity of the product out of your hair. Dry it and go to bed. Next day, rinse w/water while you shower and condition then style as usual. I wash my hair w/ shampoo only on the weekends! *hint* while rinsing your hair at night, have your makeup remover on the tub and take off your face/eye makeup at the same time -- so much easier than over the sink, no splashing on the countertop and you don't have to tie your hair back or be concerned about getting it wet. A few products for moisture are Biosilk spray- in moisturizer (drug store/target/walmart, etc) after shampoo before blow dry and neutrogena triple moisture daily deep conditioner products also in above-mentioned stores. Can you avoid shampoo if you use hair products every day?
You can try Aussie 3 minute miracle it is farely cheap. You really don't need to shampoo your hair every day it is very damaging. I use Aussie hairspray that has shine in it, it works very well. Another option is to try a deep conditioner like conditioning balm by Biolage also smooth down by Redken. It is a little bit more money but for sure worth it.
Get some good deep conditioner from sally's beauty supply. They have professional quality stuff for like $5 dollars a bottle and you can buy generic. Or you could try hot oil but that tends to strip the hair of fake dye. Hope i helped :)
try going to a hair dressers they have hair product that really help for that kind of stuff!
