Are generic (for example suave) beauty products like shampoo and soap not as good as the name brand?

Please, they both have the same stuff in them...

Your buying a logo...and a fancy bottle. Are generic (for example suave) beauty products like shampoo and soap not as good as the name brand?
If you mean, like herbal essences, to lets say biosilk or paul mitchell, then yes herbal essences is disgusting compared to biosilk. Drugstore brands have harmful chemicals which torture your hair, and instead of leaving shine and moisture, they leave residue and gunk. Biosilk, paul mitchell, etc, use organic (some do) ingredients which are good to maintain healthy hair and keep it soft.

p.s. just because a shampoo/conditioner smells good doesn't mean its good for your hair. These kinds usually have more fragrance and just soap, which are not good for your hair..Are generic (for example suave) beauty products like shampoo and soap not as good as the name brand?
